Parent Volunteer Clearance Information

The Diocese of Pittsburgh requires all employees, volunteers, and coaches of parishes, schools, and diocesan offices to be compliant with the Safe Environmental Policy. Clearances need to be completed and turned in BEFORE any practice/game/event/meeting, etc. takes place. Volunteers are not permitted to be on campus without completing and submitting all clearance material. Please keep in mind that the clearance process can take several weeks. Even if you have volunteered at a previous Diocesan location, you may need to update clearances from time to time.

If you would like to volunteer at Central Catholic, please reach out to Sara Budacki at SBudacki@CentralCatholicHS.com. Please include your name, email address, affiliated volunteer opportunity, whether you have volunteered within the Diocese, and name of Parish (if applicable).

All school volunteers must complete the following steps:

1. Virtus Online Safe Environment Database Registration
2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance
3. FBI Clearance or Waiver
4. Virtus Protecting God’s Children Training
5. Mandated Reporter Training
