Viking of the Week: Ryan Loughran, ’26
Ryan Loughran, ’26, is an outstanding example of what it means to be a man of faith, scholarship, and service at Central Catholic. From the classroom to the athletic field to the many events that mark the rhythm of school life, Ryan’s presence is felt everywhere on campus. He approaches each day with the mindset of giving his very best, and in doing so, he sets a standard for those around him.
Academically, Ryan consistently pushes himself to take on the most challenging coursework available. His schedule is filled with rigorous AP classes, and he embraces them not as obstacles but as opportunities to grow. That commitment was recognized in a special way this fall at the Honors Convocation, where Ryan was honored as an AP Scholar with Distinction and also celebrated for earning the highest GPA in the Class of 2026 for the previous academic year. These awards speak to his discipline, his resilience, and his drive to excel as a student at Central Catholic.
Ryan is equally impressive outside of the classroom. He is a focal member of the lacrosse team, where he brings both skill and leadership, encouraging his teammates to work together and give their best effort. Just as importantly, he can be counted on to show up for his peers in other areas of school life. He supports his friends in the Masque, lends a hand at events like Back to School Night, and contributes in countless ways that strengthen the Central Catholic brotherhood. Wherever he is needed, Ryan is there.
A member of the National Honor Society and Lasallian Ministry, Ryan lives out the values we hold at the heart of our mission. He is kind, responsible, respectful, and unselfish. He treats those around him with dignity and respect, and he models the type of servant leadership that defines what it means to be a Central man. His classmates know they can count on him, his teachers recognize his commitment, and his teammates appreciate the encouragement and energy he brings.
For his academic achievements, his visible presence in our community, and the way he lives out the ideals of faith, scholarship, service, and brotherhood, we proudly recognize Ryan Loughran, ’26, as this week’s Viking of the Week.
