Viking of the Week: Dominic Perella, ’26

Dominic Perella ’26 is the kind of student who makes a school better simply by being part of it. He is kind, personable, and incredibly hard-working, with grit that shows up both in the classroom and on the football field. Dom brings energy, warmth, and a genuine willingness to succeed in everything he does.

In the classroom, Dom is truly a teacher’s dream. He listens attentively during instruction, setting a positive tone for those around him, and he consistently raises his hand to ask thoughtful questions that deepen the learning for everyone. Dom goes above and beyond expectations and does so with an unmistakable, genuine smile. When classmates are struggling, he is quick to step in and help, and during collaborative work, students naturally gravitate toward him, eager to learn alongside someone who is both capable and encouraging.

Dom’s growth over the past four years has been especially impressive. As a freshman in biology, he was known as a jokester who brought laughter and energy to the room. Now, as a senior taking on his first honors science course in Honors Anatomy and Physiology, his maturity is unmistakable. He actively encourages his classmates to stay focused during labs, engages fully in discussions, and consistently chooses the challenge of learning something new over simply reviewing what he already knows. His desire to be present, to learn, and to grow is evident every day.

That same perseverance defines Dom beyond the classroom. After sustaining a football injury that sidelined him for part of his senior season, he exemplified the virtue of fortitude. He maintained a positive attitude, supported his teammates, and set a powerful example of resilience when things didn’t go as planned. Dom leads through encouragement and example with his uplifting presence.
