Viking of the Week: Christian Williams, ’26
Christian Williams ’26 is the kind of young man who does nearly everything with a smile on his face. Whether he’s walking into class, greeting a teacher in the hallway, or competing on the court, Christian carries himself with warmth and humility. He never passes a teacher without saying hello or asking how their day is going, and he never leaves class without a genuine “thank you.” Those small, consistent gestures say a lot about who he is.
In the classroom, Christian is a hardworking, respectful, and thoughtful student who truly excels. His peers naturally gravitate toward him during discussions, often looking to him for guidance. Teachers consistently point to his ability to offer insightful, well-articulated responses and to express himself clearly in academic writing. He approaches his work with seriousness and care, never shying away from a challenge and always striving to use his gifts well. Many see him as a leader of the senior class—not because he seeks attention, but because he earns respect through his character and consistency.
Christian is also the definition of a scholar-athlete. On the basketball court, his leadership is steady and selfless. During last week’s WPIAL Semi-Final Championship game, he could be seen constantly communicating with teammates, calming nerves, and, in the difficult moments after the loss, consoling and encouraging others. Coaches describe him as a natural leader whose presence brings stability and confidence. He leads with compassion, integrity, and a quiet strength that teammates trust.
Beyond basketball and academics, Christian’s impact is felt throughout the entire school community. He serves in Lasallian Ministry, acts as a Big Brother, helps with school masses, and even represented the school on the Jamaica Mission Trip this past summer. He gives tours to prospective families, helps classmates with homework, and is always willing to listen when someone needs support. His faith is sincere and guides the way he treats others and approaches every responsibility.
Christian is admired by classmates and respected by faculty and staff alike. He is personable, academically driven, deeply committed to his family and faith, and genuinely concerned for others. He does not seek accolades, yet he consistently earns them. Christian Williams is more than deserving of recognition as Viking of the Week. He lives the mission of this school each day, not in big, flashy moments, but in the steady, selfless way he shows up for others.
