Happy Easter from Central Catholic

April 5, 2026
Dear Central Catholic High School Community,
Christ has risen… Alleluia, Alleluia!
The darkness of Lent has given way to the light of the Easter season. After forty days of waiting, sacrificing, and reflecting, we are reminded that the transformation of oneself is rarely easy, but always possible through God’s love for each one of us.
For the young men entrusted to our care at Central Catholic High School, this message carries particular meaning. Our students are offered opportunities to grow each day, whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the development of one’s character which often comes as result of challenges and the perseverance through those struggles. Easter is not simply a historic event which we celebrate, but a truth we are called to live each day. It teaches us that who we become is shaped not only by our successes, but by how we respond when we are tested.
At Central Catholic, we are committed to forming young men who do not shy away from responsibility but instead embrace it with courage and integrity. We strive to cultivate leaders who meet adversity with resilience and who understand that true strength is revealed in moments of difficulty. This Easter season invites us, as a school community, to recommit ourselves to that mission with hope for the future with renewed clarity and purpose in a world which often times encourages to seek the opposite.
In his Meditation for Easter Sunday, St. John Baptist de La Salle reflected that Easter "...is advantageous for us because it is an assurance of our own resurrection...it is on this happy day that death was destroyed once and for all. Rejoice with the whole Church over so great a favor, and thank Jesus Christ our Lord very humbly for it. (MED 29.1)"
Easter also reminds us that none of us walks this journey alone. The strength and enduring tradition of our brotherhood and community is expressed through our students, faculty, staff, families, and alumni. This unique community is rooted in the Lasallian charism, which is calling us to always support one another, especially when it matters most. The bonds formed here are lifelong. The friendships you build at Central Catholic challenge you, support you, and inspire you to become your best self. True brotherhood is more than a tagline, it calls for loyalty, honesty, accountability, and a shared commitment to being the best version of yourself.
As we celebrate the joy of Easter, may each of us take time to reflect not only on what we believe, but on how we live out those beliefs in our daily lives. May we move forward with renewed faith, a deeper sense of purpose, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
On behalf of our students, faculty, the De La Salle Christian Brothers community, and the administration, I wish each of you a blessed and joyful Easter. May God’s peace fill your hearts, His hope guide your path, and His love inspire you throughout this Easter season and beyond.
In Christ’s love,
