Leadership

Developing Leaders for College, Career, and Life

Central Catholic prides itself on developing leaders both inside and outside of the classroom. Our students have a variety of opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Our programs are intentionally designed to challenge young men intellectually, spiritually, and socially — preparing them to lead in college and beyond.

Student Government

Student Council serves as the official student government at Central Catholic, giving students the opportunity to take an active role in the life of the school. The Council is led by a President, Vice President, and Class Representatives, with three representatives elected from each class. Together, these student leaders collaborate to support and strengthen the Central Catholic community.

Student Council members help organize school events, promote school spirit, and coordinate activities both for the entire student body and for individual classes. They also plan special events such as Spirit Week and an underclassmen dance, providing opportunities for younger students to participate in a formal event since they do not attend Homecoming or Prom. Through their leadership and service, Student Council members help foster pride, involvement, and community across campus.

Leadership in Action

At Central Catholic, leadership development is intentional. Young men are entrusted with responsibility early — and supported as they grow into confident, capable leaders who lift others up.

“During my sophomore year, the robotics team gave me the opportunity to serve in a leadership role during competition. That experience built my confidence and prepared me to become team captain, where I now strive to give younger members the same opportunity to grow.”

MY BROTHER'S KEEPER

From the first day of school, every freshman is paired with an upperclassman mentor known as a “Big Brother.” This peer mentor helps guide new students as they adjust to life at Central Catholic—offering support academically, socially, and spiritually while serving as a trusted resource throughout the year.

Through this program and many shared experiences, students at Central Catholic grow together as one Brotherhood. A strong culture of respect, leadership, and support is passed down from one class to the next, helping each new generation of students feel welcomed and connected.

Central Catholic is truly able to mold boys into men in a supportive and professional environment. Constantly being held to a higher standard and immersed in a culture full of success, naturally develops students into leaders. I will be forever thankful for the world-class high school experience Central gave me and thousands of others.
