Academic services include:

• Four-year academic planning aligned with graduation requirements

• Support with study skills, organization, time management, and test preparation
• Assistance for students experiencing academic difficulty
• Collaboration with teachers, deans, and administrators to promote student success

Counselors regularly review academic data and communicate with students and families to ensure early intervention and continued growth.

Central Catholic’s school counseling program is student-centered, mission-driven, and developmentally appropriate. The Counseling Department plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, supportive school environment rooted in care for the dignity of every student.

Crisis response services include:

• Immediate assessment and support for students in emotional distress
• Collaboration with school administration, nursing staff, and campus ministry
• Timely parent/guardian communication
• Coordination with outside agencies when necessary
• Re-entry planning and support following hospitalization or extended absences
• The safety and well-being of students is always our highest priority.

In collaboration with families, teachers, and administrators, school counselors assist with coordinating academic support plans for eligible students.

Services may include:

• Development and monitoring of student support plans
• Collaboration with teachers regarding classroom and testing accommodations
• Coordination of extended time, modified assessments, or alternative testing locations when appropriate
