EITC/OSTC
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs allow Pennsylvania businesses and individuals to earn significant state tax credits while making a life-changing impact on Central Catholic students.

Each year, nearly 150 Central students receive tuition assistance through these state tax credit programs. EITC/OSTC support plays a vital role in our mission to provide an affordable, Catholic Lasallian education to young men from all socioeconomic backgrounds. These funds open doors for students who might not otherwise be able to attend, while offering participating donors tax credits of up to 90% of their contribution.
Make a difference with your tax dollars! Through Pennsylvania’s EITC/OSTC programs, you can:
Redirect your PA taxes
Invest in our young Vikings
Transform lives
How to Particpate:
For Businesses
Corporations and businesses that pay Pennsylvania state taxes can apply directly through the online system. Visit the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) website for full details on eligibility and the application process.
For Individuals
Thanks to the passage of House Bill 91, individuals can also participate in EITC/OSTC through the formation of Special Purpose Entities (SPEs). By joining or creating a Limited Liability Company (LLC) designed solely for EITC/OSTC participation, individuals can secure the same tax credits initially available only to businesses.
The Diocese of Pittsburgh is the approved entity to receive EITC/OSTC gifts for Central Catholic.
