We, members of the Faculty of Central Catholic High School, believe that we have been called by God to be ministers of grace for the students entrusted to our care;
We believe that God, the source of all Life and Grace, has given some people the gift to teach, and by using our gift on behalf of young people, the Kingdom of God is being built up;
We believe that young people have a God-given right to know the Truth and to develop themselves fully as graced human beings. Our direction and guidance are critical factors in our students' self-realization of their gifts, talents and potentials;
We believe that we have a mission to manifest the Person of Jesus Christ through our daily efforts in school;
We believe, as educators in the Lasallian tradition, that we are "ambassadors" of Christ sent to the young people confided to our care. Thus, we undertake to do our best for them, inspired by the Spirits of Faith and Zeal, to create a vibrant and challenging learning community here at Central Catholic.
We believe that it is our duty to accompany young people on their Journey of Faith. Our companionship with them calls each of us to deepen our own faith and to be fervent in prayer. We, too, must foster in ourselves and in them a commitment to Justice and Peace;
We believe that we help to form a Community Spirit at Central Catholic which reflects a profound and loving respect for all persons. In turn, we must encourage our students to respect and appreciate the diversity of persons who make up the fabric of the Central Catholic community;
We believe that our work is a trust, shared with our students, their parents, their pastors and leaders, to create a lively environment of educational excellence, a healthy respect for our unique traditions, a commitment to personal honesty and integrity, and a responsible and encouraging sense of discipline as hallmarks in the formation of good Christian citizens and gentlemen;
We believe that our efforts mirror the larger efforts of the Church to be instruments that lead our students and ourselves to the gift of Salvation which God intends as the ultimate destination of our life journeys.
