What is the VIKING VICTORY AUCTION?
One of Pittsburgh's largest, single-night Auctions for the benefit of Central Catholic High School. The Viking Victory Auction provides financial support for school improvements to such areas as the library, technology, classrooms and faculty offices. Most recently, Auction proceeds have helped fund new windows in the school. In addition, proceeds from the Auction help fund the tuition assistance program. Since 1990 the annual Auction has netted over $3,800,000.
When is the next VIKING VICTORY AUCTION?
Hundreds of Central Catholic alumni, friends and parents will attend the Viking Victory Auction, April 14, 2012, at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. The Silent Auction and Open Bar begin at 6:00 p.m., with a superb Dinner following at 7:30 p.m. The Live Auction begins immediately after dinner.
How much are tickets?
The $125 per person ticket price includes open bar and dinner.

How are the gifts auctioned?
Silent Auction . . . Guests vie for hundreds of items by writing bids on bidder cards
Live Auction . . . Approximately 20 items are offered by our professional auctioneer
Where do the Auction items come from?
Our generous donors . .. Central alumni, families and friends. Many are obtained at "Gift Gathering Parties" hosted by those same groups.
How do gift donors benefit?
Donations are tax-deductible. Every gift donor is listed in the Catalog, providing commercial donors with free advertising. Catalogs are given to those attending the Auction, to volunteers, and donors.
How have proceeds from Viking Victory Auctions been used?
A percentage of each year's revenue is used for tuition aid. In addition, Auction funds have provided a state-of-the-art Computer Center, Counseling Center, faculty offices and other areas of the school. This year's proceeds will be used for tuition assistance and school improvement projects.
