Since the dawn of history, men have competed against other men to determine who could run the fastest, throw the furthest, and jump the highest. Central’s version of the Olympic sport of Track and Field has a reputation for being one of the area’s finest.
Track and Field comprises many different events testing speed, strength, coordination and endurance. There is something for everyone. The Varsity season begins with a short winter schedule of indoor meets, while the longer spring season includes meets for all levels, Varsity, JV, and Freshmen.
The spring season begins with practice in early March, meets in April and May and usually finishes with athletes qualifying for the P.I.A.A. State Championship. If you think you are fast, strong, can run far or jump high, you could join the lists of Central greats in Track and Field.
