Since 1930, the Towers has continuously chronicled the events of the Central school year. The operation of producing a yearbook entails an editorial staff, underclass staff members, and a faculty advisor. Together the staff functions as a team to gather and to organize factual and pictorial material to present an accurate, comprehensive and creative view of Central Catholic. The staff handles such diverse items as: planning and assigning writing and photos; structuring page layouts; typing, correcting and meticulously proofing copy; cropping pictures to capture and crystallize the focal points of interest; scanning page proofs; and meeting deadlines. Meetings are held after school, although individual written assignments may be done at home or during free periods. No prior yearbook experience is necessary.
